We recently had a comfortable and clean stay at City East Motel. The room was well-furnished with good facilities, providing excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the free parking. The motel's location near Vic St and Smith St was convenient for exploring the CBD. the breakfast provided was adequate, and we enjoyed the nice touch of having it served in our room.

I came here for 4 nights and had a pleasant stay. Appreciated Melbourne, the hotel was great and straightforward to Asian restaurants. I had the queen room which was good sized and budget with 3 beds. Tea/coffee making equipment, a fridge, and glassware were a plus. Nice location, it was very close to rail / tram station, railway and dining and a great pub. Went to Aviary Property for drink or two, set a 10-15 minute walking distance from the hotel...

It was reasonably priced. Came in Melbourne to relax and have fun, this cheap hotel was nice place for doing it. The staff there were very professional and efficient;))

For the price we paid, our stay at this motel was excellent value for money. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious, exceeding our expectations. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making our experience even more enjoyable. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, pubs, and a supermarket.

The only thing that could have made breakfast better was if they had a wider variety of options on the menu, as it was quite basic with just cereal and toast.

I've stayed before and its convenient to city, trams close by, pub across road has great food, undercover car parking is always a bonus...

Free parking on site provided. Cheap room with 3 beds, FRIENDLY service. Marvellous and easy location around 10-15 minutes walk from Collingwood Town Hall.

The location was perfect for us party-loving teenagers. We had a blast exploring the hipster cafes and cool street art in Fitzroy. And dude, the tour desk at the property was like having our own personal adventure planner. We couldn't believe how easy it was to book a wild pub crawl and a rad day trip to St Kilda Beach. Definitely made our vacation unforgettable!

But, there was just one thing missing that would have made our stay even more awesome. We were hoping for a sick pool or a chill rooftop bar where we could hang out and meet other young travelers.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Motel is in a great location too, if you are looking for somewhere close by to food and shopping etc.

Thought the advertising of 'Free Continental Breakfast' is a bit misleading. The motel provides some bread slices and small packets of cereal in your room that you can prepare yourself. Instant coffee etc. No going to the kitchen for a prepared meal. I think this needs improvement as other hotels can offer a better meal service for the same price.

The hotel location is convenient for those who want to be close to the city center. Although it is situated near a pub that can sometimes play loud music into the early hours of the morning, the friendly staff can offer earplugs to help ensure a good night's sleep. the hotel is situated close to a hospital.

The hotel's cleanliness has been questioned with reviews citing dirty floors and towels.

The value for money at this hotel is excellent. You get so much for what you pay, including basic amenities and a continental breakfast included in our rate. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The location, while in an industrial area on the not-so-good side of town, is conveniently close to a pub that serves good food.

All was satisfactory, nothing to complain about.

For the price this hotel is quite close to the city and very close to restaurants. The high light was the pub next door that had great meals and friendly service.

There are lights on outside the room and I found it to be to bright in the room even with the curtains drawn. The hand basin was damaged and the carpet was burnt with an iron, and the tv reception was poor.

tv channels did not work. even after auto search, tv channel selection got down to just one station with no abc. repeated re tuning failed to achieve a choice of tv stations. breakfast was hardly "continental breakfast" standard. And no fresh air. No windows would open even slightly. but these are not major issues. We do not watch tv much, we went out to eat and we were not at motel long enough for the stuffy room to be much of a problem.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable rates and basic amenities. The staff were friendly and the location, although in an industrial area, was convenient for us as it was close to our workplace and there was a pub nearby that served good food. The rooms, although we booked one with 3 beds and got 2, were comfortable and clean, with the added benefit of an external window. The breakfast, included in our rate, was a nice touch and helped us start our day.

Our stay was satisfactory and there were no major issues.

Easy access to city and sports areas, rooms have good facilitys , clean and friendly staff make it a good place to stay will definatly use this property again.
